Joe Allen
is an Assistant Professor of English at Dutchess Community College
in Poughkeepsie, NY. Much of his research has focused on cultural
studies including contemporary fiction and music (especially hip
hop). He recently published a chapbook titled He's the DJ, I'm
the Turntablist: The Progressive Art of Hip Hop Djs on Mississinewa
Press. Also, "The Operatic Incongruity of Nathaniel Mackey's Djbot
Baghostus's Run" will appear in the forthcoming collection of

Dustin Glick is about to receive a bachelor degree
in Philosophy and Studio Art. He is the editor-in-chief of Bulax
humor magazine, as well as the editor of Pipe Dream's entertainment
section and world-renowned Funpage. When Dustin isn't spreading
his brilliant wit or creating art masterpieces, he practices
nuclear physics or goes bowling. After college, Dustin will
either begin working for the Pentagon or move back into his
parent's apartment.
Matthew Gumpert received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature
from Harvard University in 1992. He has been an Assistant Professor
at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1991-1995, and
since 1996 has been an Assistant Professor at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Comparative Literature,
specializing in Classics and Classical Influences. His book,
Grafting Helen (about Helen of Troy, intertextuality and imitation),
will soon be published by the University of Wisconsin Press.
Jana Ko lives in Philadelphia and looks elsewhere,
talks to strangers, and is currently seeking a vision.
Patricia Scheiern Lewis is pursuing a Ph.D. in English
at the University of Chicago. Her research interests include
American Literature, history and culture of the 19th and 20th
centuries. She received her bachelor's degree in American Studies
at Stanford University.
Glenn Marsala looks the world over. A song and dance
man who can't remember the words or the steps, but keeps singing
and dancing, he studies English to get to France. He's been
a journalist, teacher, other things too numerous, and wastes
his time trying to decide if he's been wasting his time, but
has managed to publish a few poems, stories, and irate letters
to editors, as well as self-publishing an album and book.
Henri d'Mescan is an ethnologist, writer, critic, and
plumber errant-snaking drains, taking names, and formulating
various strings of (th/f)e(s/c)es, while advising the preparation
of the second edition of Multifesto: An Henri d'Mescan Reader.
Lucy Morrisson is currently an Assistant Professor
of English at Penn State Hazleton, and hails from Great Britain.
Audrey Murfin is a Ph.D. student in English Literature
at Binghamton University. She received her BA from Reed College
in 1996.
Davis Schneiderman is a writer, critic, reviewer and
recombinator, working on a Ph.D. at Binghamton University, and
still finishing up his novel DIS. He is an anagram waiting to
happen.
Nathan Tipton is a doctoral student in Textual Studies/English
Lit at the University of Memphis. He is desperately trying to
get a life outside of academia.
